Strange calls. Unsettling messages. The line is never clear.

Voicemails of the Unexplained is a short-form analog horror audio series where everyday voicemail messages unravel into the bizarre. Each episode is under two minutes — quick transmissions that drop you into the middle of something you can’t quite explain.

It started with a real voicemail greeting; a funny, offbeat message kept for years. That became the pilot. From there, a mix of a love of cryptids, aliens, the paranormal, and horror with improv and voice acting. What came out is a series that’s 90% improv and 100% strange.

Some episodes are outgoing greetings from June Brown — a character who never quite keeps it together. Others are incoming messages: Sarah, who only ever talks about her husband Cletus (who has, at times, been a zombie), or voices you’ve never heard before, leaving warnings, confessions, or just… unsettling static.

A cozy room corner with a patterned rocking chair, a blue pillow, an open book, a small side table, a vintage stereo with large reels, a tall wooden bookshelf with books, and a hanging lamp with a brass shade, creating a vintage and warm ambiance.
